Long Tables

Today I will be short and sweet.  I have a lot on my plate however; I still wanted to get something posted.

Even though the economy is technically still in a bit of a slump, life still goes on, people still get married, people still throw parties and women still have babies and so on.    Therefore, people have their events, but are cutting back.  That sometimes means narrowing your guest list.

With that said, those attending an event get a more personal and intimate experience when attending if the guest list has shrunk.  Something trending now are smaller receptions.  With smaller receptions couples are opting to use long tables instead of the traditional 8ft round tables.  This way everyone is together and not spread out.  It also gives the couple more time with all the guests at one time, versus moving around the room all night, trying to interact with the guests on a one-on-one basis.

What do you think?  Would you break the tradition on round tables and go to long tables?
